D01 arrival in Shanghai
Airport transfer, Pudong Area, a most fast developing area in Shanghai, is the financial center of Shanghai and China with many high skyscrapers erecting. Then the Bund is afterward, the symbol of Shanghai and an epitome of the city’s modern history, you can enjoy yourselves on the romantic Riverside Avenue from where you can have a clear look at the Gallery of World’s Architecture by the side of the Bund.
D02 Shanghai (B, L)
Visit the People’s Square, the political and cultural center of Shanghai. The Shanghai Museum in the People’s Square is the next place to visit, from which you can learn the splendid history and Chinese culture. Afterwards Yu Garden known as “the mountain in the city”, a Chinese classic garden with over 400 years history, is followed.

D04 Chengdu – Lhasa by flight (B)
This morning you will fly to the capital of Tibet "Lhasa" - at an altitude of 3,650 mt, is situated on the north bank of Kyichu River. Lhasa in Tibetan means "Place of the Gods", the residence of the Dalai Lama.
D05 Lhasa (B, L)
Today we start with Potala Palace, this legendary palace built atop a single hill is synonymous with Tibet by the first foremost king Songtsen Gompa. It was expanded to its present structure during the 17th century by the 5th Dalai Lama. This 13 story 1000 room citadel served as the headquarters of the former "church-state" of the Tibet and was home to successive Dalai Lamas, who from the latter half of the 18th century used it as their Winter palace. Afterwards we will visit the Jokhang Temple, situated in the heart of Old Lhasa, it houses Tibet's most precious religious relic, a golden Shakyamuni Buddha which was brought as a gift by the Chinese Princess Wen Cheng on the occasion of her wedding to the Tibetan King, Songtsen Gompo. Surrounding the Jokhang Temple is the bustling Barkhor Market place which is the religious and social focus of Lhasa.
D06 Lhasa (B, L)
This morning we will drive to Drepung Monastery, 8 Kms west of Lhasa - said to be the largest monastery in the world, housing over 10,000 monks. It was founded in 1416 by the disciple of Je Tsonkhapa, founder of the Yellow Hat Gelukpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism. The second, third and fourth Dalai Lamas lived and were entombed here. Drepung in Tibetan means "Richmond". Also visit the Sera Monastery, 5 Kms north of Lhasa, Sera setting is one of Lhasa's prettiest monasteries. Once a community of more than 5,000 monks resided here and was virtually extinguished by the Chinese. The restored monastery sits below the brow of hill on which tsongkhapa built a hermitage and spent several years mediating. One of the monks disciples began building Sera in 1419, completing it a few years later.
D07 Lhasa – Chengdu – Xi’an (B)
Today we will finish our trip at “Place of Gods”, and fly back to Chengd, then taking the flight to Xi’an, the center of China’s world from the 11th century BC to the early 10th century AD.
D08 Xi’an (B, L)
A Thrilling day has you visiting the excavation site of Xian’s resident army of 8000 Terra Cotta Warriors, each soldier haunting in his individuality and many equipped with chariots and horses. Also tour Ban Po Neolithic Museum, where you can find the home for ancient Chinese people.
D09 Xi’an – Beijing T42 (1748 - ) or by flight (B)
Today free until transferring to railway station or airport, overnight on the train or arrival in Beijing by flight,
D10 arrival in Beijing T42 ( - 0723) (B, L)
Beijing, the capital of China, boosts of its historical sites. After breakfast, visit to the Tian An Men Square, and then enter the imperial-red walls of the ornate Forbidden City, the emperor’s palace – off limits to commoners for centuries. Afterwards the Summer Palace, a majestic sight that is packed with visitors every summer; this royal garden was the darling to many of China's emperors and empresses.
D11 Beijing (B, L)
excursion to the ancient Great Wall, originally built as protection from the huns and other tribes and never completely fulfilling its purpose. Lunch at local restaurant. Continue from the Wall to the famous Ming Tombs, with their marble archway and thrones and sacred Way Lined with ghostly animal sculptures.
D12 Beijing – Home (B)
Today you will be transferred to airport, taking flight back to your sweet home.
